Wondrous techniques of Daito-ryu are of great use in controlling and holding down opponents with the least power.

Takuma-kai is an organization of martial arts founded by Hisa Takuma, a highly intellectual martial artist, and its members parctice Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu revived by Takeda Soukaku in Meiji era, around the year of 1900.
Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu is the Japanese original one, begun in Heian era, about 1,000years ago.
Minamoto Yoshimitsu, called "Shinra Saburou"

made done Aiki-jujutsu as Great martial arts. It was succeeded among only small groups, his descendants and their guardians as secret tecniques. Takeda Sokaku, one of its successor, ordered by his lord, Saigo Tanomo, to make it famous and teach it to the people.

He called it Daito-ryu. So, now we call it Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu.

Mr.Hisa was an only person conferred full mastership by his master, Takeda Soukaku and he recorded its tecniqes by more than 2000 photographs. And he made text books called "Soden Shashin Shu", means photo collection of  "Soden". Soden means full knowledge about Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu in Japanese.

We, members of Amagasaki branch, are eager

to learn techniques, more than 650, Soden Shashin Shu records,

so many and hard to make sense.

On the other hand, the first 118 techniques are also our subject. The first 118 techniqus and Soden techniques are both important. But Soden is only and special techniques succeeded to Takuma-kai. Amagasaki branch think it is our responsibility to learn Soden harder.
